STRUGGLES

Your typical core software does not have a method for large-scale company-wide communications from one single sign-on. Each department has their own core software, and even multiple software within one department. There are multiple databases from different sources, sending out notifications and communications in different apps with multiple sign-ons. For your core software products that do not have a notification tool, you need to purchase additional software, for each type of notification, for each department, for each requirement. Most systems only have one method of communication, which leave many crews refusing to rely on the product.

The current methods of communicating with crewmembers typically does not give the Carrier the control over when to contact or what information will be communicated. Leaving the crews with either too much information so they miss the important modification, or too little information requiring a positive phone call with their departments to verify their changes. Additionally, multiple apps with multiple sign-ons is costly for the Carrier as they need to administer multiple software and purchase multiple core products. THE SOLUTION

​ELP CrewPortal provides you the ability to communicate changes to the crew’s schedule, training events, expired documents, current day FDP legal 117/121 limits, view open time, ability to check in, pay information, status info when cancelled flights within their trips, hotel changes, etc. This suite gives the crews the ability to have one sign-on for all their communication needs, and the carrier only needs one core software. Once positive notification is made, the crews accept the messages, which are tracked by CrewPortal with historical tracking and dashboards, and/or the system has the ability to fully back-feed your core system giving you the closed loop that is desired in communications.

The ELP CrewPortal Engine pulls data from all your core software’s multiple databases in to one engine. The crew member may choose between 4 communication methods depending on their preference (i.e., Mobile App, SMS, E-mail, Voice). They can chat with the payroll dept, scheduling dept, training dept., etc. by using the chat mechanism within the app. The way our software communicates provides the crewmember precise info on what exactly matters, giving the crew the ability to quickly understand what changed or what is needed of them.

Cancelled Flights App

ELP now offers a tool that looks at the flights that were cancelled and still exist in active pairings and lists them in the order needed to repair the pairings in the proper order of importance.  The tool also shows how long the cancelled flight has been in the active pairing and when the pairing was repaired.

In the App crew members are notified immediately when flights are cancelled within a pairing. The earlier the notification, the quicker the crew member can be available for re-assignment. The app eliminates the amount of communications with Scheduling, which closes the communication gap while reducing the burden from Scheduling. This enables Scheduling to more efficiently deal with crew modifications.
